Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the entry grade of category C allows it.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available, with irregular or split working hours.
- Travel constantly between work sites.
- Accept physically demanding and noisy work, including lifting loads.
- Be in frequent contact with elected officials, staff and residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Working hours may be irregular, with strong seasonal peaks.
- The job involves physical strain: noise, lifting loads, dangerous products.
- Suitable work clothing is required.
