Open to civil servants and contract agents. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- High availability, with irregular or shifted hours.
- Constant travel between work sites.
- Frequent contact with elected officials, staff, residents and suppliers.
- Able to cope with physical demands: loads, noise, standing for long periods.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
