Civil servants and contract agents can apply. The grade is Adjoint technique (category C), which can be filled without a competitive exam.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team
- Very available
- Accept irregular, shifted hours with long daily spans
- Cope with strong seasonal peaks and weather conditions
- Comfortable with frequent contact with elected officials and residents
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Hours can be irregular, with long daily spans depending on the service.
- Demanding work: noise, lifting loads, dangerous products, long periods standing.
