Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired, because the adjoint technique grade (category C) allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted. Some first technical experience is ideally wanted.
The profile they look for:
- Some first experience in technical trades, green spaces, roads or buildings, ideally.
- Good physical fitness for outdoor work and lifting.
- Able to work in a team and to work on your own.
- Rigorous, punctual, available and committed to public service.
- Driving licence B essential.
- Electrical authorisation and driving authorisation are a plus.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
