Civil servants and contract agents can apply. The entry-level category C grade allows direct hiring without a competitive exam. People recognised as disabled workers can also be hired on a contract basis.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- High availability and possibly irregular working hours.
- Wearing suitable work clothing.
- Frequent contact with elected officials, staff and residents.
- Working with external suppliers and other administrations.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Sometimes works alone and travels constantly between sites.
