Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone or in a small team
- High availability and irregular hours
- Follows health and safety rules at work
- Constant travel between work sites
- Frequent contact with elected officials and residents
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Physically demanding: noise, lifting loads, dangerous products, irregular hours.
- Very seasonal work, with peaks linked to the weather.
