1 Check the conditions You are here
Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Frequent travel between work sites.
- Able to adapt to seasonal work and weather conditions.
- Follows health and safety rules at work.
- Frequent contact with elected officials and commune staff.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your application by email or post. You can also drop it off in person.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- No management role.
- Wearing suitable work clothing is required.
