Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A candidate who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the post is open at entry-level category C grades (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced candidate.
The profile they look for:
- Work alone or in a small team, with constant travel.
- Organise work around weather, technical needs and equipment.
- Driving licence categories B and C required, and driving a tractor under 100 hp.
- Electrical safety certificate (habilitation électrique) and AIPR certificate required.
- Know how to use a excavator (tractopelle) and spot equipment faults.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 30 (Closes in 32 days)
Apply on the employer’s website, using the link on the offer page on Choisir le Service Public. Documents must also be sent by post to the town hall, for the attention of the mayor.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Physically demanding job: noise, lifting loads, dangerous products, long periods standing.
- Driving licence categories B and C required, plus driving a tractor under 100 hp.
