Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a team of two.
- Ready to travel all the time between work sites.
- Able to cope with seasonal work and irregular hours.
- Comfortable with frequent contact with elected officials, residents and suppliers.
- Able to work in demanding conditions: lifting loads, noise, dangerous products.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
