Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the job is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Versatility and autonomy.
- Ability to work outdoors in any weather.
- Basic knowledge of green space maintenance and tools.
- Ability to organise work and prioritise tasks.
- Good relations with elected officials and residents.
- Public service mindset and discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 15 (Closes in 16 days)
Apply on the employer's website linked from the offer. You can also write to the town hall by post or email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job.
- Outdoor work, whatever the weather.
- Position vacant from 4 January 2027.
- For a contract worker, contract of 3 years maximum, renewable up to 6 years.
