Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly for this entry grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone or in a small team.
- Very available, with sometimes irregular hours.
- Travel constantly between work sites.
- Comfortable talking with councillors and residents.
- Accepts a job with physical strain (noise, heavy loads, machines).
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 28 (Closes in 28 days)
Apply on the employer's website. Also send your cover letter and CV to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Constant travel and sometimes irregular hours.
- Physically demanding job: noise, heavy loads, dangerous products.
- Very seasonal work, with peaks linked to the weather.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
