Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment. Grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal de 2e classe.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Environment or aquatic management baseline (bac) desired
Experience: Beginners accepted
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of aquatic environments and biodiversity.
- Ability to operate construction machinery and forestry equipment.
- Works independently, is rigorous and listens to local users.
- Works well in a team with elected officials, staff and contractors.
- Good physical fitness, driving licence B and swimming skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and 25 days of paid annual leave.
- Driving licence B and swimming skills required.
- Possible monthly IFSE bonus and CIA allowance.
