Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly at the Adjoint technique grade (category C).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Work alone, sometimes in a small team
- Be very available, with possibly irregular hours
- Accept a job exposed to noise, heavy loads and hazardous products
- Hold the CACES certificate, which is mandatory
- Communicate well with elected officials, residents and suppliers
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
