Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C. Candidates recognised as disabled workers can also be hired on a contract basis.

Diploma: CAP or diploma in general mechanics
Experience: Experienced
The profile they look for:
- Work alone, sometimes in a small team
- Be reliable, organised, rigorous, serious and motivated
- Hold a CAP or a diploma in general mechanics
- Hold a CACES certificate for driving machinery
- Hold an electrical safety authorisation (habilitation électrique)
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, using the offer page on Choisir le Service Public. The deadline is 1 November 2026.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
