Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a competitive exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experience in a similar job is appreciated, but not required.
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of green space upkeep and safety rules.
- Equipment maintenance skills and basic farm machinery knowledge.
- Skills in small masonry, painting, plumbing and electrical work.
- Public service mindset, autonomy, rigour and punctuality.
- Good listening skills and respect for the chain of command.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Tractor driving required; CACES and electrical authorisation appreciated.
- Constant travel between work sites; sometimes working alone.
- Position vacant from 1 January 2027.
