Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the adjoint technique grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available, with irregular or split hours.
- Good people skills with elected officials, colleagues and residents.
- Able to request quotes and follow small works.
- Apply health and safety rules at work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter to the town hall by post or by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Field job, with lifting, noise and dangerous equipment.
- Annual hours, with different schedules in summer and winter.
- The commune offers CNAS membership, an IFSE bonus and a health insurance contribution.
