Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired at this entry-level category C grade.

The profile they look for:
- Work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- High availability and sometimes irregular hours.
- Constant travel between work sites.
- Frequent contact with elected officials, staff and residents.
- Useful extras: landscaping training, CACES, Certiphyto, heavy goods vehicle licence.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Physical job: lifting loads, noise, hazardous products.
