Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A competitive exam is not needed, because the adjoint technique grade allows direct hiring.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted
The profile they look for:
- Work alone, sometimes in a small team
- Travel constantly between work sites
- Be available, with irregular hours
- Follow health and safety rules at work
- Accept seasonal and physically demanding work
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job, adjoint technique grade.
- Demanding work: noise, lifting loads, hazardous products and irregular hours.
- Remote work not possible.
- Position vacant from 1 January 2027.
