Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Car and truck driving licences (VL and PL) required; CACES aerial platform certificate preferred.
- Practical knowledge of green space, road and building maintenance.
- Good use of common tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment and risk prevention rules.
- Able to organise work and coordinate a small team when needed.
- Sense of public service, discretion and good contact with officials and residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Truck driving licence (PL) required.
- Work outdoors in all weather, with variable hours.
- Emergency call-outs possible depending on how the commune is organised.
