Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly at this entry grade of category C. Open grades: technical assistant, principal technical assistant of 2nd and 1st class.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Vocational baccalaureate in landscape development or equivalent. BTS in landscape development appreciated.
Experience: At least 5 years in green spaces.
The profile they look for:
- At least 5 years of experience in green spaces.
- Good knowledge of plants, their needs and their diseases.
- Skills in planting, pruning and maintaining green spaces.
- Use and routine maintenance of horticultural equipment.
- Rigorous, independent and comfortable working outdoors.
- Driving licence category B required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time job, 37.5 hours per week, fixed hours.
- Technical and winter on-call duties, with a service vehicle provided.
- Mainly outdoor and greenhouse work, with lifting and standing for long periods.
- Driving licence category B required; BE and PL appreciated.
