Open to civil servants (permanent staff) and contract workers. Grade concerned: senior technical assistant, 2nd class.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP, BP or Bac in hotel and catering; training in food hygiene and HACCP.
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of hygiene rules and HACCP.
- Knowledge of collective catering and safety rules.
- Punctual, flexible, rigorous and a good team player.
- Good physical fitness, may need to carry heavy loads.
- Professional discretion and confidentiality.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Medical check and hygiene training are mandatory.
- Possible replacement at other satellite kitchens.
- Mobile phones banned during work; jewellery banned except wedding ring.
