1 Check the conditions You are here
Civil servants (by transfer) and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Sense of public service, with discretion and professional ethics.
- Knowledge of how local authorities work.
- Versatility and adaptability.
- Mobility, with a driving licence and a vehicle required.
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- CAP Petite Enfance or experience with children is appreciated.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: October 31 (Closes in 2 days)
Apply on the employer's website or send a handwritten cover letter and a detailed CV by post to the town hall. The HR department can answer your questions.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Annualised working hours.
- Driving licence and vehicle required.
- Remote work not possible.
- Part-time post, with less than 50% of full-time working hours.
