Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of emergency actions and first aid.
- Knowledge of shut-off and safety systems (water, electricity, gas).
- Basic knowledge of building work and electrical equipment.
- Ability to listen, talk things through and handle occasional conflict.
- Punctual, reliable, organised and available.
- Basic writing and good oral communication.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: December 12 (Closes in 41 days)
Apply on the employer's site linked from the official offer. Send your CV and cover letter to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C (employee).
- Some tasks need a training certificate (driving machinery, working at height, electrical work).
