Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A contract worker can be hired because this is a post in a small commune. A competitive exam is not needed for this entry-level Category C grade (adjoint technique).

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, through the offer page. Send your CV and cover letter to the Mayor of the commune.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
