Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Be autonomous, organised and rigorous.
- Be able to adapt and organise your work around service needs.
- Communicate well with services, elected officials and building users.
- Know hygiene and safety rules, including for toxic products.
- Keep the register of product safety data sheets.
- A biocide certificate (certibiocide) would be a plus.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter to the town hall, for the attention of the Mayor.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
