- Know basic hygiene rules in community settings
- Know the HACCP method and be able to apply it
- Know safe lifting and handling postures
- Be able to work in a team and adapt to different situations
- Show a sense of public service and discretion
- Listen to children and be firm with them when needed
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A driving licence (permis B) is preferred.
- Works Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, with RTT days off.
- Leave can only be taken during school holidays.
- Remote work is not possible.
