Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired at this entry grade of category C.

The profile they look for:
- Welcoming and informing the public, on site or by phone
- Cleaning rooms and facilities
- Following hygiene and safety rules
- Computer handling of files and sales
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Shift work: evenings, weekends, school holidays and public holidays on a rota.
- Long periods standing and sometimes tense contact with the public.
