Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP, BEPA or vocational Bac in horticulture, including forestry and logging work
The profile they look for:
- CAP, BEPA or vocational Bac in horticulture.
- Knowledge of landscaping and horticulture.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules, including wearing PPE.
- Ability to use mowers, blowers, trucks and tractors.
- Physical fitness for working at height and lifting loads.
- Ability to read a plan.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B is essential.
- Fixed hours: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. from 1 November to 14 March, 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. from 15 March to 31 October.
- Outdoor work in all weather, with possible on-call duty.
- No staff supervision.
