Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is adjoint technique (category C).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know health and safety rules at work.
- Know safe lifting and handling movements.
- Know how to use equipment and products, and report problems.
- Able to work in a team and manage your time.
- Good physical stamina.
- Sense of public service and professional discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job, adjoint technique grade.
- Remote work is not possible.
- The employer contributes to health insurance (mutuelle santé) and provident insurance (prévoyance).
