Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the post is an entry-level grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Know hygiene and safety rules in local government buildings
- Know safe lifting and handling postures (PRAP)
- Know how to use cleaning equipment and products
- Spot problems and report them
- Be discreet, polite and careful
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall, as the official offer explains.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
