Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade (adjoint technique, category C) allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know hygiene and safety rules (HACCP).
- Use cleaning equipment and products correctly.
- Follow safe lifting and handling movements.
- Be discreet and show a sense of public service.
- Be punctual, reliable and careful at work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, through the offer published on Choisir le Service Public.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C, adjoint technique grade.
- No management duties and no remote work possible.
- A contract worker can be hired while waiting for a civil servant.
- The post is vacant from 1 January 2027.
