Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A candidate who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C. Open grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 1st or 2nd class.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Cleaning techniques for rooms and equipment.
- Food hygiene and safety rules.
- Good customer service and public contact skills.
- Teamwork and versatility.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website linked in the offer. You can also send your CV and cover letter to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C, no management role.
- Remote work not possible.
- A contract agent can be hired while waiting for a civil servant.
