1 Check the conditions You are here
Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Follow hygiene rules (HACCP standard appreciated).
- Know basic cooking techniques: quick cooking, assembling, cutting.
- Know the conditions for serving meals to users.
- Friendly, diplomatic, patient and discreet.
- Team spirit, good organisation and autonomy.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 30 (Closes in 31 days)
Apply before the deadline, following the steps in the official offer. Applications are sent by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time job, Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
- Possible working hours from 7am to 5:30pm.
- Repetitive movements, carrying loads and standing for long periods.
