Civil servants (permanent staff) and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Follow food hygiene rules; HACCP standard is a plus.
- Know basic cooking skills: quick cooking, assembling, cutting.
- Know how meals are delivered: hot, cold or direct serving.
- Be welcoming, tactful and discreet.
- Work well in a team and organise your own work.
- Be physically fit: repetitive movements, carrying loads, standing for long periods.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 7 (Closes in 8 days)
Apply on the employer's website or send your application by email to the town hall, as stated in the offer. Deadline: 7 November 2026.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time job, Monday to Friday, 36 hours a week.
- Possible working hours between 7:00 and 17:30.
- 25 days of paid leave, 6 RTT days and 2 days for hard working conditions.
