Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.

Experience: Public works experience is desired

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Outdoor work with fixed hours, and shifted morning hours in summer
- Periodic on-call duty and overtime in winter
- Category B and C (HGV) driving licences valid required
- Day trips possible across the Department's territory
