Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Confirmed experience
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety rules
- Knowledge of the HACCP method
- Basic cooking techniques
- Knowledge of cleaning and disinfection procedures
- Basic knowledge of teamwork and working with teenagers
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, through the Département's website, by sending your CV and cover letter.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Working hours follow the meal service.
- Carrying loads and standing for long periods are required.
- A regulation work uniform is mandatory.
