Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly for this category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Be able to work around children.
- Show patience and appropriate authority.
- Use the equipment provided and follow instructions.
- Be available, punctual and reliable.
- Be careful, attentive and responsible.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website or send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall, for the attention of the Mayor.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Direct hiring possible, without a competition.
- Contract of one year at most, renewable up to 2 years.
- Category C post, technical assistant grades.
