Civil servants and contract staff. A person who is not a civil servant can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment without a competitive exam.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Know cleaning products, how to use and store them safely.
- Master hygiene and safety rules.
- Master cleaning and handling techniques.
- Report problems to the manager.
- Have a team spirit and good people skills.
- Respect the privacy and intimacy of residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Presence based on a schedule set one month in advance.
- One weekend every 3 weeks.
- Must respect 1607 working hours per year.
- Standing work, moving around and handling detergents.
