Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the school's rooms and how it runs
- Use cleaning techniques, equipment and products well
- Know safety rules and hygiene protocols
- Know HACCP and PMS standards
- Work well in a team and on your own
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time: 1607 hours a year, or 42 hours a week.
- Boarding service: one evening a week, in pairs.
- Lifting loads, repetitive movements, and wearing protective equipment is required.
- Schedule may change during school holidays for competitive exams.
