Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of first aid and life-saving gestures.
- Knowledge of public building safety rules and the safety plan.
- Ability to use fire extinguishers.
- Negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills.
- Ability to report situations and record incidents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours: 36 hours per week, on rotation, between 6:15 and 23:30.
- Works one weekend in three.
- Remote work not possible.
- Difficult environment: chlorine, cold, noise, heat. Occasional lifting.
