Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP in catering (agent polyvalent de restauration) preferred
Experience: Experienced (confirmé level)
The profile they look for:
- CAP in catering (agent polyvalent de restauration) preferred.
- HACCP training.
- Knowledge of food hygiene rules.
- Knowledge of how to use and store cleaning products safely.
- Works well in a team and on their own.
- Organised, rigorous and punctual.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- No management role.
- Handling chemical products and wearing PPE is required.
- Occasional work in a cold area and heavy lifting.
