Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the post is open to an entry-level category C grade.

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hiring a contract worker is possible because this is a small local authority (article L332-8).
- The job may include replacing a colleague who is absent for a short time.
- Cleaning work during school holidays may be needed if the 'vacances apprenantes' scheme is used.
