Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade offered is an entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP, BEP or pro bac
The profile they look for:
- CAP, BEP or pro bac level.
- Driving licence B required; licences PL and EB preferred.
- Knowledge of ornamental plants and horticultural techniques.
- Knowledge of workplace safety rules.
- Able to do physical work.
- Good team spirit, rigour and autonomy.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by post or by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Driving licence B required; licences PL and EB preferred.
- Category C post, no management duties.
- Grades offered: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 2nd or 1st class.
