Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence B required.
- Heavy vehicle licence C and CACES certificate wanted.
- Knowledge of pruning and tree trimming techniques.
- Good physical fitness.
- Organised, rigorous, available and quick to react.
- Knowledge of safety rules.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work outdoors and in the workshops, hours of 37h30 per week.
- Possible on-call duty and availability for emergency work.
- Remote work not possible.
- Employer contributes to supplementary health and disability insurance.
