Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know common cleaning methods and hygiene and safety rules.
- Be able to choose and measure cleaning products correctly.
- Be able to organise your work around the schedule and priorities.
- Be rigorous and discreet.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Behave appropriately with children and school staff.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job, with no management duties.
- Remote work is not possible.
- The job may include replacing absent staff.
