Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired, because the Adjoint technique grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Confirmed (experienced) level requested.
The profile they look for:
- Know hygiene and safety rules for school catering.
- Know children's nutritional needs and the basics of allergies.
- Supervise children with patience and good teaching skills.
- Know basic first aid.
- Be organised, methodical and able to work in a team.
- Be alert, quick to react and versatile.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- Moves between schools, according to the annual individual schedules.
- Lifting, repetitive movements and awkward postures.
- Protective clothing required during canteen time: apron or tabard, clogs, gloves and hairnet.
