Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade (adjoint technique) is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced.
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety rules.
- Basic knowledge of child psychology and teaching methods.
- Knowledge of first aid and allergies.
- Organised, methodical and able to work alone.
- Patience, teaching skills and good people skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Split hours, set by individual annual schedules.
- Part-time post, less than 50% of full time.
- Protective clothing required (overall or apron, clogs, gloves, hairnet depending on the task).
- Lifting and awkward postures. No remote work.
