Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Know children's nutritional needs and basic hygiene rules.
- Know basic first aid and allergy procedures.
- Be organised, methodical and alert.
- Be able to work alone and in a team.
- Show patience, teaching skills and good listening.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Split hours, based on individual yearly schedules.
- Lifting, repetitive movements and sometimes awkward postures.
- Part-time post, with less than 50% of full working time.
- No remote work and no management role.
