Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired at this entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of road maintenance techniques.
- Basic masonry skills.
- Basic knowledge of road signs and work site marking.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules.
- Knowledge of waste sorting and disposal rules.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
