Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a public exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of equipment, vehicles and health and safety rules.
- Public service mindset and teamwork.
- Able to work outdoors, handle many tasks and lift loads.
- Initiative and autonomy.
- Driving licence category B required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Wanted certifications: CACES R482 and A.I.P.R.
- Average of 37 hours per week, with 12 days of RTT leave.
- Winter road maintenance on a voluntary basis.
